We also observe all Jamaican Public Holidays and our team goes on vacation December 23, 2021 to January 1, 2022. During this period we are closed.
Contact and Consultation
All submission of new orders, request for changes, follow-ups, approval of projects and transfer of content, images, etc. must be documented. For this reason, our preferred mode of communication if via EMAIL.
Feel free to get in-touch via phone at any time during our hours of operation. You may message us on our whatsapp line; where a response is usually provided within 24 to 48 hours. Monday to Friday: 9am to 3pm.
We also offer paid consultation to discuss some projects such as your website, logo design or advertising goals via Zoom. Consultation are free to customers who pay for services in advance. [*If the project if cancelled at any time, the consultation fee is deducted from the deposit.]
Once the design service can be found on our website. All designs orders must be submitted using the relevant form. Please provide a clear explanation of what you need. Double check to ensure the information you have provided is correct, then checkout using your preferred payment option to place your order.
Once your order has been received and payment is confirmed, we review the information to ensure we understand your request. If the request if understood we commence working on your project; if not; a call is placed or a follow-up email sent to clarify the information.
GRAPHIC DESIGN: Most designs are completed within 3-5 business days. Larger design projects such as magazines may take up to 14 days or longer depending on the nature of the design.
WEBSITE DESIGN & BRANDING PACKAGES: 14 to 20 Business days or a longer for LARGER PROJECTS.
VIDEO DESIGN: 5 to 10 Business days or a longer for LARGER PROJECTS.
Depending on the workload, artwork may take less or more time than advertised. You will be notified if there is a significant delay to your project.
We do not accept RUSH Designs or offer rush fees.
Revision and Proof
All design, video and website projects come with a specific number of revisions, where you are able to request complementary changes to the project to ensure we deliver to you just what you want. Outside of the set number of revisions offered to you with each project , additional requests for edits or changes will be billed to you at a fixed or hourly cost based on the nature of the project.
Complementary changes include: changes to content, colours, and small adjustments that do not alter the artwork into a completely new design.
We know you are excited about getting the project right and we are too. However, to prevent abuse of our service and delivery to you, please note that each design created has 1 design submission or a single concept. With this we may also submit a variation of the design (* this is not a new design). The variation is the same design only in a different colour or layout for comparison only if requested.
Our payment methods are:
Bank Transfer (Jamaican Dollars) To Our NCB Account
WiPay - Credit Card/ Visa Debit Card
Cash or cheque payments can only made via direct deposit to our Bank Account.
(* Please note: if paying by cheque, it must be cleared before work commence. This usually takes a minimum of 3 business days.)
We quote in ____, but our exchange rate is US$1:JM$_____for Bank Transfers.
ALL SERVICES :- GRAPHIC DESIGNS, VIDEO AND ADVERTISING, require FULL (100%) payment before the project begins
Payment Plans Only Apply to Website Development Plans for which there are three payment options:
The 1st if FULL 100. With this option the customer pays 100% at the start of the project.
The Second is 60/40. The customer pays 60% at the start of the project and 40% at the end. This applies only to projects that are completed within 4 week.
The third 60/20/20. This is our 3 month plan, and will offers three payment over a 3 month period. 60% to start, then 20% the two months that follow.
Outside of these options customer with projects extending beyond 3 months are provided a custom payment plan.
Cancellations and Refund
Once payments have been made to Global Designs Mediahouse via any of the listed payment methods, we are willing to provide a full refund if work has not yet started on a project. However, once work has begun, monies already paid over are non-refundable.
In the case where a deposit has been made and a refund is requested before the project's completion, the deposit is non-refundable. This is retained for our investment or work done on the project to the time of a cancellation request. However, the customers will not be required to pay the remaining amounts as the project would not have been completed.
In the case where no work has officially started but a complimentary consultation was done, the funds will be refunded, less the consultation cost, which is typically our hourly rate.
If a client is deemed disrespectful or difficult to work with, Global Designs Mediahouse reserves the right to cancel project and refund, with or without notice. The refund will reflect the full balance if work was not started and a partial refund or retaining the deposit if work had already commened.
Third Party Expenses
Global Designs Mediahouse makes the following purchases on customer's behalf in order to successfully complete a project:
-Domain Name and Hosting Purchases
-Fonts (esp. for Logo Design)
-Theme eg. for WordPress
-Plugins eg. for WordPress to acquire specific functionalities.
-Third party purchases are payments made for services not directly provided by Global Designs Mediahouse or purchased from another Business or website.
-Where Global Designs Mediahouse will make third party purchases for customer, customers must pay in full the service or item.
-Global Designs Mediahouse will at no time offer to make payment for services that require monthly payments. The customer must use his or her own credit card to acquire such services.
Severing Work Relations
We can't be all things to all people, and we understand we may not be the right fist for just about everyone. As such Global designs Mediahouse reserves the right to sever ties with a customer deem not to be the right fit for fruitful working realtions.
We may or may not advise you of the challenges faced working with you but will commit to complete all work agreed upon or that has already been paid form before severing ties. *If working together to complete projects already agreed on proves too difficult for both parties; a refund may or may not be provide before dissolving our partnership. ...read refund section for more information
Grounds for dissolution include, but are not limited to:
Design Artwork and Layered Files
-Files will be sent in the following formats: PNG, PDF,JPG, and MP4 file formats.
-You will receive logo designs in several colorways for different purposes.
- Large files may be delivered via Wetransfer.
-Designs files in Layered format eg. Photoshop are always available to the customer but only upon request. * A merged format is submitted free of charge with editable text where just about anyone can make changes to content. *A paid version starting @US$35 is available with all layers released.
We enjoy working with you, however we do not encourage nor appreciate the abuse of our services. For customers who orders a service and disappears after 2 weeks: no calls, no response, ..you name it. will receive 2 follow up emails. If emails are not responded to after a 2 week period and no formal arrangement has been made with Global Designs Mediahouse to defer the project for any reason; the project will be deemed as fortified and no refund will be provided. If the customer would like to continue after 2 months a restart fee of US$100 will be charged before project resumes.
It is Global Designs Mediahouse’s policy that personal information, such as your name, postal and e-mail address or telephone number, is private and confidential. The personal information you provide is stored in a secure location, is accessible only by designated staff, and is used only for the purposes for which you provide the information (such as to reply to your request or to handle your complaint (eg. questionnaire that helps us in designing your logo with more ideas & flexibility). For example, if you fill in the order form online, the personal information you provide will be used to process your order only & additional information will help us in your logo design.
NO RELEASE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES:
Personal information will not be released to third parties except when a client requests that we share information with another firm. There are no other circumstances under which we will provide or sell personal information to third parties.
USE OF COOKIE TO STORE DATA:
Our website use Google Analytics and Conversion tools to monitor website traffic usage and Conversion which includes Google Remarketing by storing a cookie. The cookie helps deliver our ads and content across internet. We use Google tracking code as our third party vendor to provide all these services.
All the rights of the finalized logo and artwork Global Designs Mediahouse has created and designed for its clients belongs to the client it was designed for. Global Designs Mediahouse does not hold any rights of the logo created ( provided that final payment has been received from the client ).
The client is free to register his/her logo created by Global Designs Mediahouse under his/her name or trademark.
Global Designs Mediahouse does not provide registration services, nor does it assume responsibility of an event of a plagiarized name, existing identity, or extreme logo similarity. However, in the event of this situation, we will modify the logo to correct and/or aid our customer for a time period of no more than 6 months of creating primary image. We suggest you register the logo with your state or province in order to protect its design. This will protect you from others copying your logo design.
